• Account data: Name, email, profile photo from LinkedIn OAuth
• Profile data: Resume, work experience, education, skills, salary expectations
• Employer data: Company information, job descriptions
• Usage data: Pages visited, features used, timestamps

2. How We Use Your Information

• Match candidates with relevant job opportunities using AI
• Generate vector embeddings of your profile for semantic search
• Send transactional emails (match notifications, verification check-ins)
• Improve our matching algorithms and service quality

3. AI Processing

We use OpenAI models to generate profile embeddings and rank candidate matches. Your profile data is sent to OpenAI for processing. OpenAI's data usage policies apply to this processing. We do not use your data to train our own AI models.

4. Information Sharing

We share your information only in these circumstances:

• With employers: When you are matched with a job, employers can view your profile, resume, and contact information
• Service providers: We use Neon (database), Vercel (hosting), OpenAI (AI processing), Resend (email)
• Legal requirements: When required by law or legal process

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time from your account settings.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of your personal data
• Correction: Update inaccurate information via your profile
• Deletion: Delete your account and all data
• Portability: Export your data
• Opt-out: Toggle "Open to Work" off to stop appearing in searches

7. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure authentication (OAuth 2.0), and database encryption at rest.

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication (session tokens). We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for users under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy periodically. We'll notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notice.
